Replacement windows and new openings installed square and sealed, with interior casings and stools that finish the look.
Windows bring in light and views, and they are also one of the largest sources of air and water leaks in a house. Proper installation matters as much as the window itself: square, shimmed, flashed and sealed.
We install replacement and new-construction windows, cut new openings with proper headers, flash and seal the exterior and finish the interior with casing, a stool and an apron or a clean picture-frame trim. Window seats and deep sills can be built to match. We protect floors and furniture, set up dust barriers and clean up the cuttings and caulk at the end of each day. A replacement project can often be finished in a day or two per room, and we tell you what to expect before we begin.
Replacement windows fit existing frames and are faster. New openings need framing, headers and weather barrier, and we handle both.
Water must be directed out of the wall, not into it. We use flashing tape, sill pans and the right sealant to keep walls dry.
Casing, stool and apron, or wrapped jambs and picture frame, finish the window. We match the rest of the house or create a new style.
New windows can cut drafts and noise. Proper insulation around the frame is as important as glass type.
