Soft, damaged trim, sills, posts and siding cut out and replaced cleanly, with the moisture source found and fixed.
Rot is a symptom of water. Window sills, door thresholds, fascia, corner boards and deck posts rot where water sits, and the damage can be hidden behind paint until you press on it. Finding it early keeps a small repair from turning into a big one.
We probe the area, cut out the soft wood, trace the leak to its source and rebuild with new or epoxy-repaired wood. We prime all sides, caulk and flash correctly and match the original profile so the repair disappears after painting. We take photos of the damage, mark the extent of the soft wood and show you what we found before we cut. That way you see exactly what was replaced, what was saved and where the water was getting in.
Rot always has a cause: failed caulk, missing flashing, clogged gutters or soil against the wood. We fix the cause so the repair lasts.
Small damaged areas can be repaired with epoxy, and larger areas need replacement. We explain which makes sense and why.
Old trim often has profiles that are no longer sold. We mill matching pieces so the new wood blends with the old.
Gutters, grading and good paint help prevent rot. We point out what we see so you can fix it.
