Front doors, sidelights, transoms and patio doors installed weathertight, with trim that frames the entrance beautifully.
The front door sets the first impression of a home, and it is the most weather-exposed door in the house. A well-installed entry looks welcoming, closes tightly, keeps out water and holds up to sun, rain and daily use.
We install solid wood, fiberglass and steel entry doors, sidelight and transom units, patio and French doors and storm doors. The opening is flashed and sealed, the sill is pitched to drain, the door is set plumb and level, and the exterior casing and threshold complete the entrance. We also review the porch and the step, because a door only works well if water drains away from it. If the sill, slab or porch floor is holding water, we tell you and suggest how to fix it while the door is out.
Most door failures come from water at the threshold. We flash the opening, set the sill on a sealed base and slope it to drain.
Glass lets light into the entry and adds style. We frame and trim the surround so the whole assembly looks like one design.
A deep casing, a clean threshold and a quality lockset finish the job. We can match the porch, siding and house style.
A good entry door helps security and comfort. We install reinforced strikes and weatherstripping, and recommend thresholds that seal well.
