A tidy craftsman woodworking shop with a workbench, hand planes, chisels, clamps and a half-built walnut table in warm light
How we work

Six steps from first visit to final walk-through.

A clear, unhurried process that keeps you informed and in control.

The journey

What happens, and when.

  1. A smartphone with a blank dark screen on an oak table beside a coffee mug and a rolled blank blueprint in warm light
    01

    Consult and measure

We listen, walk the space and measure carefully, then talk through ideas, budget and timing.

  2. Blank architectural drawings, a framing square, a pencil and a small wooden scale model of a house frame on a drafting table
    02

    Design and quote

We sketch or draw the work, choose materials and give you a written scope and price.

  3. Stacked lumber boards on a workbench with a blank clipboard, a pencil and a tape measure in bright shop light
    03

    Materials and permits

We order lumber, hardware and finishes and handle permits when the job needs them.

  4. A half-built wall frame lying on a shop floor with a nail gun, clamps and sawdust in warm light
    04

    Build and install

Framing, trim, cabinets or decks go in with careful cuts and clean, protected work areas.

  5. A sanded oak panel on a bench with a brush, a can of wood stain and a rag in warm light
    05

    Finish and detail

Filling, sanding, caulking and finishing give every joint and line a crisp final look.

  6. A finished living room with custom built-in shelves and a warm lamp glowing in the evening
    06

    Walk through and enjoy

We walk the finished work with you, adjust anything that needs it and leave the site clean.

Timing

How long does it take?

How long does a typical project take?

A trim package can take a few days, and a custom kitchen or a deck can take weeks. We give you a schedule with your written scope and update it as work moves.

Do I need to be home?

It helps to be there at the start and the end, and we keep you posted during the work by phone or message. Please keep children and pets away from tools and work areas.

What should I do before work starts?

Clear the work area, move valuables and breakables and tell us about access, pets and your HOA. We take care of protecting floors and furniture.
